Approvd

Terms of Service

Last updated 10 August 2026

These terms cover using Approvd to share creative work for review and collect decisions on it. By creating an account, or by opening a review link someone has sent you, you’re agreeing to the parts of this that apply to you.

Accounts

You need to be able to enter a valid legal agreement to create an account. You’re responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for what happens under your account — let us know straight away if you think someone else has access to it.

Reviewers

A reviewer is anyone who opens a review link an account holder has shared — this doesn’t require creating an Approvd account, and these terms apply to a reviewer only for the parts directly relevant to using a review link: acceptable use, the meaning of an approval, and how comments and decisions are recorded.

Your content

You keep full ownership of, and responsibility for, everything you upload to Approvd. We don’t claim any rights over your work beyond what’s needed to store it and display it to the people you’ve shared it with. You’re responsible for having the right to upload and share whatever you put into the product — including that you have permission from anyone whose work, likeness, or personal information appears in it.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Approvd to:

  • Upload or share unlawful, infringing, or content you don’t have the rights to.
  • Attempt to access another account’s data, or a review link that wasn’t shared with you.
  • Interfere with the service, probe it for vulnerabilities without permission, or attempt to bypass its rate limits or access controls.
  • Use a review link, or the comment/approval flow, to send spam or abusive content.

We can suspend or terminate an account that we reasonably believe is being used this way, and where practical we’ll try to tell you why.

Approvals and change requests

When a reviewer approves a version, or requests changes, Approvd records their stated name, the decision, and the time it was made, tied to the exact file version they were looking at. Where an account holder has required it, an approval additionally requires the reviewer to confirm a one-time code sent to an email address on file before it’s recorded.

This record is intended to give you a clear, timestamped account of what was reviewed and what was decided — a useful reference if a disagreement comes up later. It is not, by itself, a guarantee that the record will be treated as a legally binding signature or contract in every circumstance or jurisdiction; whether it has that effect for your particular situation is something to satisfy yourself of, including with your own legal advice if the stakes warrant it.

Plans, billing and cancellation

Approvd offers a Free plan and paid plans (currently Studio, Agency and Team), described on our Pricing page. Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis through our payment processor, Stripe. You can view your invoices, change plans, or cancel at any time from your billing portal, accessible from Settings.

Cancelling stops future billing; it doesn’t automatically refund the current billing period. We may change plan pricing or features going forward — where practical, we’ll give existing subscribers reasonable notice before a change takes effect for them.

Service availability

We aim to keep Approvd reliably available but don’t guarantee uninterrupted access — like any hosted service, it can be affected by maintenance, upstream provider issues, or things outside our control.

Suspension, termination and data deletion

You can stop using Approvd and erase your account’s data at any time from Settings, or ask us to close your account entirely by contacting us. We can suspend or terminate an account for a breach of the acceptable-use terms above, non-payment on a paid plan, or where we’re required to by law. Where an account is deleted, its data — and any review links it created — stop being accessible.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Approvd is provided on an “as is” basis, without warranties of any kind beyond what the law requires. To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you’ve paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t legally be limited, such as liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we’ll update the date at the top of this page; continuing to use Approvd after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
